Disney Illusion Island Incorrectly Routed Quest Guide
Similar to the previous Quest titled “The Quest,” “Incorrectly Routed” is another adventurous mission in Disney Illusion Island that doesn’t involve any boss encounters, new abilities to learn, or locked doors to open. Instead, the primary objective of this Quest is to navigate from one point to another, interact with various non-playable characters (NPCs), and progress closer to the ultimate destination of your journey.
In contrast to your previous adventure, “Incorrectly Routed” offers a few additional Tasks to undertake, making the Quest slightly longer overall. Nevertheless, it shares similarities with the previous Quest in terms of the challenges that await you. The Tasks in this Quest are designed to be more manageable than some others, but it’s still possible to encounter difficulties and feel puzzled during platforming sections.
Incorrectly Routed Quest Overview
The “Incorrectly Routed” Quest in Disney Illusion Island presents a set of Tasks without any mini-puzzles, locked doors, new abilities to learn, or boss battles. Instead, players will find themselves backtracking to familiar areas with slight twists to keep the gameplay fresh. Despite the lack of complex challenges, the Quest requires completing several Tasks, making it manageable but potentially repetitive due to the backtracking involved. Here is the complete Task list for the “Incorrectly Routed” Quest:
Head Back To Info Automatron
After completing the “First Class Enquiry” Quest, return to the Info Automatron. To reach it, hop onto the Bell in the Office to flip the room, then head east through the corridors to the central hub of MOP. The Info Automatron is located near the center at the bottom of the room. Speak to it to learn the location of the Chute Room Access, which leads to the next Task.
Open Chute Room Access
Head northeast from the Info Automatron and take the series of lifts up until you reach a Mail Rail leading to a Checkpoint. Activate the Checkpoint and continue heading eastward. Progress upward, timing your jumps well to navigate the bounce pads that appear and disappear. Eventually, move further to the right until you find a yellow Bell in a room surrounded by Mail Rails. Jump onto the Bell to open the Chute Room and complete the Task.
Head To The Chute Room
The Chute Room is now accessible, but the rooms have rotated, altering the corridor layout. Head west from the Chute Room and follow the linear pathway back to the central hub of MOPs. From there, head northwest to the area where you first met the Info Automatron. You can only travel westward from this point, leading you to the Chute Room in the northwest portion of the region. Be cautious as there are hazards and enemies along the way.
Hit The Emergency Button
In the Chute Room, speak to Uncle Steve, then jump onto another Bell to rotate the area again. Your next Task is to find and activate the Emergency Button, located near the center of the right portion of the region, accessed from the central hub’s bottom-right entrance.
Travel to the right and navigate through the long, linear corridor while avoiding hazards until you return to the central hub. Continue southeast and through another linear corridor until you reach the Emergency Button. Jump onto it to rotate the area once more, completing the Task.
Return To The Chute Room
With the Emergency Button activated and the area rotated once again, make your way back to the Chute Room, which is located in the upper-left corner of the area. Backtrack through the linear corridor until you reach the central hub. Then, take the northwest entrance, leading you directly to the Chute Room through another linear corridor.

Disney Illusion Island Gameplay
Disney Illusion Island incorporates elements of the Metroidvania genre, a style of video game known for its exploration-based gameplay and character progression. However, unlike traditional Metroidvania games that heavily emphasize combat, Disney Illusion Island puts the spotlight on platforming challenges instead.
Players will encounter a plethora of intricately designed levels filled with puzzles, obstacles, and thrilling platforming sequences, creating an engaging and dynamic gameplay experience.
One unique aspect of the game is that all the characters have the same abilities, ensuring a balanced and fair playing field for everyone. This design choice encourages players to choose their favorite Disney character based on personal preference rather than character-specific skills. Whether players opt for Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, or any other beloved Disney character, they can expect an equally enjoyable and challenging platforming adventure.
The game caters to both singleplayer and multiplayer modes, offering flexibility for players to enjoy the experience according to their preferences. In singleplayer mode, players can immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Disney Illusion Island, navigating through the levels, and solving puzzles solo. On the other hand, multiplayer mode enables friends or family to team up and tackle the challenges together, fostering cooperation and camaraderie.
In multiplayer mode, Disney Illusion Island introduces a unique mechanic where characters can drop ropes to one another. This feature facilitates cooperative play, allowing players to assist each other in traversing tricky sections, reaching higher platforms, or overcoming difficult obstacles. The rope mechanic not only enhances the cooperative aspect of the game but also adds an extra layer of strategy and coordination among players.
Overall, Disney Illusion Island offers a refreshing take on the Metroidvania genre, emphasizing platforming prowess over combat skills, and promoting camaraderie through its cooperative multiplayer mode. With its enchanting Disney-themed world, engaging gameplay, and the ability to play alone or with friends, the game promises an unforgettable adventure filled with magic, friendship, and thrilling platforming challenges for players of all ages to enjoy.
