In today’s modern age, being a woman is still an extremely scary thing – why is that? Well, women constantly have to worry about their safety, especially when going out alone. They must be aware of their surroundings and always carry some kind of self-defense product, whether it’s pepper spray or key chains.

A woman revealed that two guys tried to break into her hotel room.

In a text overlay of the viral video, which has racked up more than 1.3 million views on TikTok, TikToker wrote: “Someone tried to break into my hotel room this weekend in Rochester, NY.” . She began by saying she was evaluating a dance competition in Rochester, and after it was over, she went up to her hotel room and two men tried to break in.

Alicia said she was FaceTiming with her boyfriend when they heard a “loud thud” on her hotel room door. He asked what happened, and she told him that “sounds like someone threw their entire body at my door.” Seconds later, someone started tugging at the handle and “banging” on the door to try to open it.

“For more than five minutes, [the intruders] talking back and forth very quickly,” recalled Alicia. “I don’t know what they were talking about, I couldn’t tell if they were drunk or foreigners, but they were slamming the door… trying to get into my room. It was the scariest five minutes of my life.”

Alicia eventually called 911, and while they were on their way, she also contacted one of her fellow judges, Tristan, and told him what was going on. Thirty seconds before the police and Tristan arrived, Alicia heard the two men running away. While crying, she wondered if two drunks were going to enter the wrong room. However, she quickly realized that “it couldn’t have happened when they were knocking and banging on the door so aggressively.”

Alicia ends the video by declaring the situation “even more horrifying” when the police arrive. Luckily, in a follow-up video, she explained why it got scarier – they asked if she had a stalker.

“When I tell you my whole world just fell apart; I just have the most horrible feeling,” she said. “My first thought was, ‘Oh my god, I posted a video earlier that day that literally said I was judging a dance competition in Rochester.'”

Alicia also noted that her encounter with the police was scary because there was no camera. She recalls the receptionist telling her that the hotel didn’t have cameras in the hallways, which really freaked her out.

“‘It’s 2023, how come you don’t have a camera?’ and she said, ‘It’s guest privacy.’ I understand, obviously there shouldn’t be a hotel camera in the room, but [there should be in the hallway]”, Alicia said. “Now that it’s 2023, the Holiday Inn needs to follow the program.”

She added, “The level of paranoia I feel is truly insane.”
