Matthieu Moulinas is a criminal from France whose name came into the media prominence after being linked with the murder of 13-year-old girl Agnes Marin.

Agnes was raped and murdered on November 16, 2011, in Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, Haute-Loire, France. The person behind this cruel act was none other than Matthieu.

Not to mention, Moulinas was a student at the same school as the girl who, at the time, was on parole while awaiting trial for the rape of another lady.

In 2013, Matthieu was sentenced to life in prison. His sentencing was the first time a life sentence was handed down to a minor.

Matthieu Moulinas was born to his doting parents, Sophie Moulinas (mother) and Dominique Moulinas (father), on December 30, 1993, in France.

According to a report, his mother, Sophie, is said to be an accountant executive, while his dad is reported to be a municipal councilor. They were shocked after the news of their son committing a crime came into the media.

Furthermore, Sophie and Dominique prohibited themselves from speaking publicly until Matthieu was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Riom Court of Appeal.

It has been noted that Matthieu’s parents supported him from a young age taking him to many psychologists, speech therapists and other doctors as he reportedly had dark thoughts.

In August 2010, Matthieu was arrested for the rape of a 15-year-old girl. For Dominique and Sophie, it was a massive blow. In 2016, they even published a book named Parents à perpétuité.

It was a book about their experience, which caused the victim’s family to protest. In an interview, the Moulinas couple even said their son still didn’t feel any remorse.

Matthieu Moulinas is not the only child of his parents, as he grew up along with his two siblings, but their names have not been shared with the tabloids.

It has been reported that Matthieu is the  of three kids, and he is the first child long awaited by his parents. Further, he was a tender and caring child, miles from the image that his dad and mom suddenly discovered with his crimes.

Apart from that, Matthieu grew up in Nages-et-Solorgues, a village in Gard, around one hundred kilometers to the south. Further, Moulinas lived a normal childhood.

Further information regarding his other family members remains unclear as the name of Matthieu came into the media just after committing a crime.

Matthieu Moulinas is serving his time in jail as he was sentenced on June 28, 2013, to life imprisonment. Meanwhile, the jury listened to the prosecution’s plea that they not give the benefit of a .

On November 11, 2011, he and Agnes Marin walked in the forest. Once they reached the forest, Matthieu sexually assaulted her, stabbed her multiple times, and set the girl’s body on fire with gasoline.

Furthermore, the prosecution named the murder particularly violent and brutal. Meanwhile, it was not the first time Moulinas did the thing, as he committed a similar act on August 2, 2010.

Moulinas reportedly lured a 16-year-old friend into the woods under the premise that he had the money he owed her.
