At the age of 16, Caitlin Foord signed with Central Coast Mariners for the 2009 W-League season, although she did not make any appearances for the club. In the following season, she joined Sydney FC along with several other players from the Mariners, playing for the club for four consecutive seasons. During her time with Sydney FC, Foord played in 44 matches and scored 10 goals. Her first goal for Sydney FC came in a 4–1 victory against Adelaide United in November 2010.

In 2013, Foord signed with Sky Blue FC, an American team, for the inaugural season of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
