Who is student Nargis murdered by her cousin Irfan in Malviya Nagar New Delhi after rejecting marriage proposal

On a fateful Friday, Delhi Police received an alert at 12:08 pm about a violent attack in Vijay Mandal Park, located in Malviya Nagar’s Shivalik A Block. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered the lifeless body of a Nargis, lying next to an iron rod. The park, situated close to Aurbindo College, became a crime scene, witnessing a heart-wrenching incident rooted in obsession and anger.

Deputy Commissioner of Police for South Delhi, Chandan Chowdhary, shed light on the initial findings. “We received information about a 25-year-old woman’s body being discovered near Aurbindo College in Malviya Nagar. A nearby iron rod suggests it was used in the assault. Further investigations are underway.”

Who was Nargis?

Hailing from Malviya Nagar, Nargis was an ambitious student of Kamala Nehru College. But little did she know that her refusal of a marriage proposal would lead to such a devastating fate. The rejected suitor was none other than her own cousin, Irfan, a resident of Sangam Vihar and a delivery boy by profession.

It came to light that Irfan had been fixated on Nargis for some time, often shadowing her moves – a classic case of stalking. His marriage proposal was not welcomed by Nargis or her family, which seemingly ignited his rage.

The final moments of Nargis and Irfan

Reports suggest that on that ill-fated day, both Nargis and Irfan went to Vijay Mandal Park together. In what can only be described as a fit of rage and rejection, Irfan assaulted Nargis with an iron rod, ultimately causing her demise. He hastily left the murder weapon at the crime scene, fleeing from the atrocity he had committed.

The news of this heinous crime has sent shockwaves throughout the community. As the investigation continues, questions arise about the safety of women and the grim consequences of refusing unwanted advances.
